Hometown Holiday lights
Dec. 1-31, nightly
Beginning when the sun sets on December 1 and twinkling to life every night through the end of the month, you and yours can delight in a festive family outing. Grab a coat and jingle all the way to Main Street for a sea of glittering trees and interactive holiday decor.
Hometown Holiday live music
Dec. 2-23, times and locations vary
The Hometown Holiday season will include 31 free evening concerts for the community. Shows take place Tuesday-Saturday nights throughout Downtown. Check out the full line-up and locations here.
City Arts Center sweet holiday happenings
Saturday, Dec. 6, Drop in anytime between 10:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Help build Candy Cane Village-Calling all gumdrop architects! Candy Lane needs your help building the sweetest village ever inside of the City Arts Center! This is a free event for all ages.
Decorate your own gingerbread house front to add to a sugary community art installation. Hosted by sugar artists from Capital Confectioners/Capital City Cake Club, we provide everything—candy, icing, sprinkles, and you bring plenty of sugary inspiration. Bring the family and come help us make Candy Lane Village come to life!
Saturday, Dec. 13 and 20, two sessions each day: 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
Gingerbread Workshop– This holiday season, bring your friends and family together for a deliciously fun Gingerbread House Workshop! Whether you’re a seasoned architect or a first-time builder, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Each gingerbread house can be decorated by a two people. Everything will be provided for you to create a gorgeous and festive gingerbread house. You have all the fun, we do all the set-up and clean-up! Hometown Gift and Decor holiday vendor market
Saturday, Dec. 13, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Holiday Vendor Market– Stop by the last vendor market of the year and bring the littles for free photos with Santa from 2 to 4 p.m. After checking out the 12 local vendors outside, check out all of the gifts inside the shop and enjoy the free hot chocolate bar.
